Position Summary

Area Sales Manager is responsible for regional sales, gross profit, portfolio sales, CRM activity, update market analytics, competitor activity and forecast for Aqua product range in the assigned geographical area. Incumbent will be responsible for generating the demand for the products, retaining the existing customers, bringing the new customers through regular visits and follow-up to meet the target. Incumbent will sustain relationships with customers and manage channel partners to achieve the set goals. 

Responsibilities will include:

Sales and Promotion: Stay updated on the product portfolio and effectively promote Aqua Specialties products to meet sales and collection targets.

Account Management: Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by efficiently planning and organizing daily work schedules, including engaging with distribution channels.

Business Development: Develop and nurture commercial relationships with existing industrial customers while actively prospecting for new accounts to expand market penetration. Manage the sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management: Maintain a comprehensive customer database and profiling using CRM tools. Provide regular reports to management on activities, results, and territory analysis.

Distribution Network Management: Implement organizational guidelines to effectively manage the distribution network, ensuring seamless operations.

Market Analysis: Monitor competition by gathering market intelligence on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques. Utilize this information to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Customer Issue Resolution: Address customer complaints promptly by investigating problems, developing solutions, and providing recommendations to management.

Sales Forecasting: Forecast sales to facilitate operational planning, introduce product innovations, and maintain active memberships.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and establishing professional networks.

Team Collaboration: Contribute to team efforts by actively collaborating and supporting colleagues to achieve collective goals.

Required Experience & Knowledge

Education

•    Graduate in Fishery Science / Science / Chemistry.


Experience

•    Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in handling aqua / specialty chemicals portfolio.
•    Prior experience working in high intensity and competitive sales set-up.

 

Technical Competencies

- Ability to deliver sales goals consistently

- Technical Knowledge of Fish Farming and Aqua products 
- Knowledge in working with CRM tools for sales force effectiveness
