POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Specialist, North America (NA) Operations executes routine quality assurance activities within the US and SG distribution business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all activities surrounding product release, new product introduction, quality event management, specification management, customer complaints and basic QA tasks are completed as per quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QMS/QA:
1.    Support the preparation for customer, management and/or certification/regulatory audits, as required.
2.    Participates in Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) root cause analysis and implementation. Ensures tasks assigned are completed within the assigned due date.
3.    Supports Customer Complaint investigations and prepares required documentation.
4.    Completes assigned quality activities for the North Amrican business units including Pharma Life Sciences, Nutrition and Speciality Chemical/Cosmetics which include but are not limited to; 
•    Review and approval of product CoAs;
•    Release of product batches;
•    Issuing of branded CoAs;
•    Support product shelf life extension requests;
•    New product introduction;
•    Specification review and update;
•    Coordination of testing samples with testing laboratory;
•    Initiate and manage Quality Events including Change Controls, CAPAs, Deviations, Non-Confomances and Customer Complaints.
•    Communication with clients, procurement, and/or administration services.

5.    Supports the implementation of programs or processes derived from regional quality goals communicated by Corporate Quality and the incumbent’s direct supervisor.
6.    Participate in the internal auditing process, as required.
7.    Participate in the development and implementation of quality management procedures.
8.    Attend GMP training courses.
9.    Supports additional QA activities such as Document Control/Archiving, Quality Metrics, and Annual Product Reviews, as applicable.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
•    Holds a university degree in a science related to the work being carried out. Has practical experience in their responsibility area (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Other). 
•    Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related industry.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.:
General: 
•    Sense of organization, initiative and priorities;
•    Time-management;
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Attention to detail is critical.
•    Must be willing to work North American shift schedule (REQUIRED)

Specific: 
•     Industry Knowledge (PREFERRED);
•     Knowledge of relevant guidelines and norms e.g. ISO 9001:2015, GMP guidelines (REQUIRED)
