POSITION SUMMARY:

The FP&A Analyst supports the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, assisting with the monthly close process, and building financial models using data from consolidation and reporting systems. In addition, this role contributes to the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI and Cognos Controller reports to enhance financial visibility and decision-making.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes 
•    Prepare and validate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis) 
•    Extract and reconcile data from consolidation and reporting systems 
•    Assist in budgeting and forecasting cycles 
•    Build and maintain financial models to support planning and analysis 
•    Perform variance analysis and explain key drivers vs. budget/forecast 
•    Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial reports 
•    Collaborate with accounting and business teams to resolve discrepancies 
•    Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for financial reporting 
•    Translate financial data into visual insights and actionable dashboards 
•    Support automation and improvement of reporting processes through Power BI 
•    Assist with data preparation and structuring for reporting and analytics

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or Computer science
•    Results driven individual with a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience ideally gained in a multi-national environment
•    Financial acumen, experience with problem solving with analytical thinking

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, ETC:

•    Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modeling) 
•    Good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles 
•    Working knowledge of Power BI (data modeling, report development, basic DAX) 
•    Familiarity with ERP or consolidation tools (e.g., SAP, Sage – nice to have) 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
•    Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

 

Preferred Skills
•    Experience in Power BI dashboard design and development 
•    Exposure to financial planning tools 
•    Basic knowledge of SQL or data querying 
•    Understanding of data structures and data transformation concepts
