Position Summary
The Inbound Logistics Representative is responsible for accurately receiving imported products into the company’s inventory management system, validating warehouse receipts against shipping documentation, maintaining import records, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures. The role serves as a critical link between warehouses, import operations, accounting, brokers, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions.
Work location and working hours: Bangalore / 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST – US Support (Flexibility to align with US working hours as required.)
Responsibilities will include:
• Process and receive import shipments in the SAGE inventory management system.
• Verify warehouse receipts against purchase orders, shipping documents, and system records to ensure accuracy.
• Record and maintain accurate inventory information, including batch numbers, lot details, quantities, and weights.
• Create purchase receipts and update inventory records for warehouse and direct customer shipments.
• Review, organize, and maintain import-related documents such as Warehouse Receipts, , Broker Bills, PODs, and Shipping Documents.
• Upload and archive documentation in DocLink and maintain complete, audit-ready records for all import transactions.
System Data Entry, Validation & Coordination
• Accurately enter and maintain receipt information in SAGE, including CGNs, warehouse lot numbers, PAC codes, supplier details, and receiving locations.
• Generate and maintain purchase receipt records while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with warehouses, freight brokers, accounting, and internal stakeholders to resolve receiving discrepancies, manage shipment documentation, and support inventory receipt processing.
• Facilitate timely communication and documentation flow to ensure accurate inventory records and efficient payment processing.
Compliance & Process Adherence
Follow established Import and Inventory Receiving SOPs.
Ensure transactions comply with customs, import, and internal control requirements.
Support inventory audits and document retrieval requests.
Identify and report process discrepancies or opportunities for improvement.
Required Experience & Knowledge
• Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in import operations, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAGE preferred), ocean import procedures, customs documentation, and warehouse receiving processes.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and record-keeping capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively across departments.
