Position Summary 
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for improving visibility of Purchase Orders (POs) and ensuring availability of key inventory items. This role will manage procurement tracking systems, maintain real-time data accuracy, and support inventory planning initiatives to ensure timely customer service.

 

Work location and working hours: Bangalore / 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST – US Support (Flexibility to align with US working hours as required.)

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

1. PO Status Visibility & Tracking
•    Maintain and update a centralized PO tracking system using Microsoft Excel or ERP tools 
•    Ensure all Purchase Orders are updated with accurate, real-time status 
•    Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders for status updates 
•    Highlight delays, risks, and exceptions proactively 
•    Work closely with team members to improve reporting automation and visibility 
•    Ensure shared access to PO data for key personnel

 

2. PO Tracking Sheet Management
•    Design, maintain, and continuously improve the shared PO tracking spreadsheet 
•    Ensure data completeness, consistency, and usability for operations and customer service teams 
•    Provide insights for better delivery planning and customer communication

 

3. Inventory Availability Management
•    Identify and monitor key items for stock availability 
•    Support transition strategies such as Buy-to-Stock or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) 
•    Analyse consumption patterns, lead times, and supplier reliability 
•    Coordinate with warehouse and planning teams to ensure optimal stock levels 


4. Cross-Functional Coordination
•    Work with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and sales teams 
•    Support customer service teams with accurate delivery timelines 
•    Assist in process improvements and reporting enhancements 

 

Education 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

 

Experience
•    Minimum 2-4  years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
