Position Summary
The Analytical Chemist II designs, develops, qualifies, and validates analytical methods to support characterization, release testing, and stability studies across P-R&D, chemical manufacturing, and contract analytical services. The role also contributes to developing analytical tools to assess impurities, purity, and assay of starting materials, intermediates, in-process samples, and final products.
Responsibilities will include:
• Development of new analytical methodology to meet project objectives
• Refine analysis of new methods, identify nuances, and ensure smooth lab adoption
• Supporting spectroscopic, chromatographic, and wet chemical analysis techniques
• Developing quotes outlining project scope, cost, timeline, and deliverables
• Safe operation of instruments, and handling of laboratory chemicals
• Compliance with safety and quality assurance program
• Understanding client’s requirements for analysis, quality and reporting
• Understanding the accuracy and uncertainty of results
• Identifying obstacles related to providing timely and quality services
• Performing client directed investigations when necessary
• Review other Analyst work for completeness and accuracy
• Engage in teamwork by exchanging insights, feedback, and technical support
• Participation in company team initiatives to enhance continuous improvement
• Work with Quality Assurance Group on:
o CAPA investigations
o Client, regulatory and internal driven audits
o Traceability of measurements
o Control of Non-Conforming Testing and Retesting
Required Experience & Knowledge
Specific Experience (Required):
- BS in Chemistry or related degree.
- Experience in wet-chemistry, compendial testing, mass spectrometry (MS), chromatography, inductively coupled plasma – optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
Other Experience/Competencies (Preferred):
- Prefer a minimum of 5 years of experience working as an R&D or contract analytical chemist.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) for documentation and collaboration

Work Environment
Industrial laboratory work environment. Analyst will support both manufacturing and R&D operations. The role involves performing analytical testing, setting up instrumentation, and assisting in the development and implementation of methods and procedures. The environment can be fast-paced and may require prioritizing multiple tasks, maintaining high accuracy. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation
The salary range for the positi on of Analytical Chemist is $50,000 - $85,000. Many factors go into determiningemployee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law.
This salary range is provided in good faith and is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensati on for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peercompensation comparisons.
