Position Summary 

The Assistant Manager Procurement will assist the Senior Manager Procurement in sourcing various product categories from the India/APAC region, as required by Pharma Intermediates business unit of Actylis. Key operational responsibilities include new supplier identification, development, qualification, onboarding, supplier performance management, establishing a competitive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), handling enquiries from global teams, negotiations, and managing supply logistics within the region.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

•    Develop and manage a strong regional supply chain for Actylis’s global product portfolio, driving revenue and EBITA growth.
•    Respond to sales and business team queries within agreed SLAs.
•    Maintain supplier contracts, track performance, and ensure compliance with all terms.
•    Create and implement sourcing strategies to lower total acquisition costs, reduce risks, and streamline sourcing processes.
•    Lead supplier negotiations and maintain all necessary documentation.
•    Monitor sourcing policies to meet business goals and conduct effective supplier negotiations.
•    Work with suppliers to reduce product, logistics, and overall supply chain costs.
•    Build and maintain a high-performing supplier qualification and performance program to strengthen Actylis’s market position.
•    Continuously scan the India/APAC supply market to find new products and alternative suppliers for competitive advantage.
•    Identify niche suppliers and products for market exclusivity

Education    

•    BTech/MTech in Chemical Engineering or Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Chemistry from reputed institution
•    MBA in Supply Chain or Marketing preferred

Experience

•    5 to 10 years in global sourcing & procurement role, with experience leading sourcing and logistics operations across Indian & global markets
•    Pharma and/or Specialty Chemicals industry and products supply chain experience
•    Strategic Sourcing knowledge and implementation experience
•    Understanding of the best global practices in the industry supply chain
