Position Summary
Seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented individual who is a team player to join our accounting team. This individual will be responsible for, or oversee, all aspects of the accounting function at Actylis Ogden. As the single member of the accounting team at this location, this position will be a strong business partner to management and must collaborate with multiple departments across the business. This position includes responsibility for monthly closes, cost accounting, monthly forecasting and annual budgets for our manufacturing sites
Responsibilities will include:
Ensure all transactions are properly categorized in a timely manner, including monthly accruals, prepaids and manufacturing COGS
Close monthly books for Ogden site, including monthly account reconciliations and schedules for monthly reporting
Prepare, review, and upload monthly financial statements to Actylis’ accounting system
Ensure timely vendor invoice verification, reconciliation of vendor accounts and payment of bills to vendors. Respond to any billing inquiries.
Ensure timely receipt of all receivables, working with CSRs on customer invoices and following up with past due accounts
Manage capital tracking and fixed assets
Monitor and reconcile credit card spending
Generate daily invoices and packing lists for CSRs for daily shipments
Responsible for providing the monthly forecast and supporting the annual budget process for the manufacturing sites
Monitor company’s cash position through the preparation of weekly reports and communicate any deficiencies or surpluses to appropriate parties
Maintain complete fixed asset register
Work with accounting team across the company to balance intercompany accounts monthly
Attend forecasting meetings with company management
Prepare and or assist with tax compliance requests as necessary
Work with other accounting personnel as needed related to the monthly close, budgeting, bank reporting, audit, etc.
Maintain strong internal controls
Provide ad-hoc reporting as requested by management, owners, or project managers in a timely manner
Take the initiative to develop and improve any accounting functionality that could improve the company's financial position
Other responsibilities as required
Required Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
6-8 years of related experience
CPA Certification is a plus
Cost Accounting background required
Public accounting experience preferred
Strong computer knowledge including Excel required
Knowledge of Sage X12 and Controller consolidation reporting desirable
