Position Summary
To provide assistance to the Production Manager in preparing ‘kits’ for manufacturing as well as warehousing, cleaning, and handling of product.
Responsibilities will include:
Collect, warehouse, and distribute materials and products within assigned facility. Reads production schedules, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be collected or distributed.
Weighs materials using scoop, bucket, or container to precise measurements as stated on work orders or requisitions provided.
Identifies and organizes material as to make it easily identifiable to the production staff.
Opens, closes and seals boxes, drums and miscellaneous items in assigned production rooms and properly identifies all containers before staging for return to assigned locations.
Identifies problems with material such as open, leaking, spilled material, or unidentified packaging.
Transports materials and items from warehouse or production areas to designated areas by hand, hand truck, or fork lift.
Perform as necessary cycle counts or spot checks for inventory accuracy.
Manage requisitions to order supplies from other areas as needed.
May use computer to enter or receive necessary information.
Required Experience & Knowledge
Requires the ability to clearly communicate in spoken and written English. Punctuality and strong work ethic is essential. *Forklift Certification helpful but not required. Forklift Certification and Annual GMP Training both to be obtained while on the job.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED);
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to use scales and understand values.
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
