Position Summary


The position is an outside sales role and is an integral part of the Specialty Chemicals sales team who plays a critical role in sales, marketing, sales budgeting, risk management, efficiency measures, and customer satisfaction. Requires employee to work effectively across the organization and relies on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish agreed company goals.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Establishes working relationships with customers to promote Actylis products.  
  • Collaborates with Customer Service, Sourcing and R&D.
  • Prepares annual forecast for customer portfolio plus other forecasts as needed.
  • Driven to increase top lines sales and gross profit above normal organic growth.
  • Responsibility to Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion. 
  • Maintain contacts lists with customers to continue relationships.
  • Manages overall inventory levels pertaining to customer portfolio. 
  • Assists Accounts Receivable in recovering slow payments and resolving disputes.
  • Works closely with Regulatory and Traffic/Logistic departments to be sure products meet all applicable laws.
  • Promotes Actylis in industry and trade associations.
  • Position requires travel, including stays away from home.
  • Position requires attendance at various trade shows applicable to market.


The salary range for the position is a base of $155,000 - $175,000. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

Required Experience & Knowledge


  • Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree
  • 10 years minimum sales experience in related chemical field 
  • Must have distribution experience and a track record of success selling both manufacturing and distribution products.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Requires ability to work across cultural boundaries.
