Position Summary

 

The position is an outside sales role and is an integral part of the Specialty Chemicals sales team who plays a critical role in sales, marketing, sales budgeting, risk management, efficiency measures, and customer satisfaction. Requires employee to work effectively across the organization and relies on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish agreed company goals.

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Establishing working relationships with customers to promote Actylis products.  
  • Attending various trades shows applicable to the market. 
  • Collaborating with Customer Service, Sourcing and R&D.
  • Preparing annual forecasts for customer portfolio plus other forecasts as needed.
  • Driving to increase top lines sales and gross profit above normal organic growth.
  • Taking responsibility to identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion. 
  • Maintaining contacts lists with customers to continue relationships.
  • Managing overall inventory levels pertaining to customer portfolio. 
  • Assisting Accounts Receivable in recovering slow payments and resolving disputes.
  • Working closely with Regulatory and Traffic departments to be sure products meet all applicable laws.
  • Promoting Actylis in industry and trade associations.

 

The salary range for the position is a base of $155,000 - $175,000. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

Required Experience & Knowledge

 

  • Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree.
  • 10 years’ minimum sales experience in related chemical field.
  • Must have distribution experience and a track record of success selling both manufacturing and distribution products.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Requires ability to work across cultural boundaries.

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

Position is non-supervisory but will participate in review of Customer Service Representatives and Product Business Manager.
