Position Summary
The Director, Global Sales Operations & Enablement will be responsible for supporting the global sales team on sales processes, salesforce (tool training) and data/ metrics tracking of new business development and pipeline opportunities. The role will design and implement innovative processes and tools together with sales managers and provide guidance and support around sales metrics, continuous process improvement initiatives, and salesforce development. The Director, Sales Operations & Enablement will continuously evolve their team to support these efforts and partner with key stakeholders to ensure the sales organization is well positioned to meet its objectives as Actylis grows.
Responsibilities will include:
- Pipeline (New business) & Pipeline Forecasting – ensure complete, accurate entry of all deal opportunities in the company CRM System. Focus on new business development tracking
- Creation and presentation of sales metrics dashboards for presentation to senior management
- Sales enablement – Create ongoing sales training curriculum for the sales team to sharpen sales skills and ensure they stay abreast of market and product developments.
- Onboarding and training global sales teams across BUs (on sales tools & processes where necessary)
- Support with account planning tools or other customer segmentation support initiatives
- Salesforce project enhancements - leveraging Salesforce capabilities across all functions
- Sales Process Optimization – responsible for the design and implementation of standardized sales process across the entire organization. Ensure sales team competency in sales process through training and support.
- Act as internal advocate for sales organization and assist in resolving internal roadblocks and disagreements.
- Facilitate sharing of best practices across the sales organization.
- Collect input data from the sales team to create/streamline sales process and methodologies utilized by the sales team.
- Perform regular and ad hoc analysis of sales pipeline, forecasted opportunities, & close rates, etc.
The salary range for the position of Director, Global Sales Operations & Enablement is $1750,000 - $200,000 per year. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law.
Required Experience & Knowledge
- BA/BS Degree in a related field, MBA preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of related experience in Sales Analytics/Operations
- B2B sales model experience
- Knowledge of Life Sciences and / or Specialty Chemical industries preferred
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM management
- People Management experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and leaders across the organization
- A team builder, team player, and a leader who can set clear objectives, motivate, train, and enthusiastically engage others in your mission
- Communicate with stakeholders across internal and external organizations to maintain alignment and provide feedback
- Be operationally excellent in the day-to-day running of the business including: forecasting, process development, training, hiring, performance management, collaboration, teamwork, and best practice sharing
- Proven track record of success in Sales Analytics/Ops and effectively implementing tools and processes to enhance the function
- Confidence, intellect and executive presence to become a true business partner across the corporate and field functions – someone who is capable of contributing to broader business conversations beyond their functional expertise
- Exposure working in a highly strategic capacity, with the ability to focus both on continuing successful sales execution while simultaneously strategically planning for the next stage of growth
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines. Outstanding project management and time management skills.
