Position Summary
The Inbound Sales Representative is responsible for the managing and growth of portfolio accounts across North America within the pharmaceutical & biopharmaceutical industries. This role focuses on customer engagement, lead generation, and account development through proactive communication and tailored sales strategies.
Responsibilities will include:
Account Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, fostering strong relationships with clients through regular communication and engagement to maintain and grow existing accounts.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of client needs, challenges, and goals to deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely support.
Sales Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing customer base and through prospecting efforts.
- Generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert opportunities into sales.
- Drive revenue growth by aligning customer needs with company solutions and achieving sales targets.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with direct sales teams and other departments (e.g., marketing, operations) to execute coordinated strategies and deliver exceptional service.
- Share insights from customer interactions to inform marketing campaigns, product development, and sales strategies.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding order status, delivery timelines, and product updates as required.
Sales Process Management:
- Utilize CRM and ERP tools to manage sales pipelines, track customer interactions, and maintain accurate account records.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to customer needs.
- Monitor customer feedback to adapt service levels and customer support opportunities.
The salary range for the position of Inbound Sales Representative is $70,000 - $85,000 per year. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law.
Required Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, account management, or customer support, preferably in life science industries.
- Experience presenting product and service offerings to customers.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient use of standard office meeting/communication software including Teams and SharePoint.
- Expert use in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Projects.
- Experience in developing time management strategies to ensure work is performed within required timelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Proven ability to generate leads, manage sales pipelines, and close deals.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Must be highly detail-oriented and organized, able to work both independently and as a team player with a positive attitude.
- Effectively communicate with peers, interdepartmental colleagues, and clients.
