Position Summary

 

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the global organization, including financial planning, analysis, reporting, and risk management.

Responsibilities will include:

 

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and lead the global financial strategy to support the company’s short- and long-term growth objectives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team on key business decisions, mergers & acquisitions, capital allocation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide data-driven insights to guide operational improvement, revenue growth, and EBITDA optimization.
  • Provide ongoing financial forecasting, scenario analysis, and business performance reporting.
  • Lead annual budgeting and strategic planning cycles in alignment with corporate objectives.

 

 

Operational Finance & Controls:

  • Oversee all global accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and internal control functions.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all financial records and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and risk management frameworks across all business units.
  • Monitor variances and identify actionable solutions to ensure achievement of financial targets.

 

 

Team Leadership and Talent Development:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing global finance organization capable of scaling with the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and ensure the finance function serves as a proactive partner to operations, sales, HR, and other departments.

 

The position of Chief Financial Officer will require global travel. A valid passport is required. The incumbent of this position can expect an estimated 0-25% of required travel during the course of the business year. 

 

The salary range for the position of Chief Financial Officer is $350,000 - $425,000 per year. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law.

 

Required Experience & Knowledge

 

Educational Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.  An MBA or CPA is strongly preferred.

 

General Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a global pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environment.

 

Specific Experience (Required):

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and global compliance and tax structures.

 

Other Experience/Competencies (Preferred):

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams across multiple regions. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Strong command of financial systems, ERP tools, and reporting technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex financial transformations and support business scalability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and organized, able to work both independently and as a team player with a positive attitude
  • Effectively communicate with peers, interdepartmental colleagues, and clients
  • Experience in developing time management strategies to ensure work is performed within required timelines

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

The job titles directly reporting to this position will be VP, Corporate Controller, VP, Financial Planning & Analysis, Head of Finance Europe and the VP, Treasurer & Financial Operations.
