Position Summary
The Sales Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving sales excellence, operational efficiency, functional and cross-functional collaboration across Actylis. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and optimization of the sales pipeline and forecast, promoting adoption of CRM best practices, and translating data into actionable insights that drive growth.
Beyond analytical rigor, this role is highly interactive — partnering daily with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to align priorities, offer Sales analytics, analysis, solve challenges, and empower the sales team.
Responsibilities will include:
Sales Operations & CRM Management
- Champion the adoption, accuracy, and optimization of all pipeline and forecasting processes within the CRM.
- Engage daily with sales users to understand their needs, challenge their thinking, gather feedback, challenge them to exercise higher sales standards, and improve the overall CRM experience for Actylis users.
- Conduct ongoing reviews and especially analysis of pipeline data and forecast accuracy to drive accountability and insight-based decisions.
Analytics, Insights & Reporting
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations to improve sales effectiveness, pricing strategies, and customer engagement.
- Develop and maintain robust dashboards and reports on key sales and marketing performance metrics.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and visibility across the full customer lifecycle.
Collaboration and Communication
- Serve as a central point of contact between Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing between teams to ensure alignment and mutual understanding.
- Actively participate in key sales management cadence meetings, contributing insights and facilitating productive dialogue.
Continuous Improvement & Enablement
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline sales operations and enhance user satisfaction.
- Provide hands-on support, coaching, and training to sales users to increase tool adoption and confidence.
- Partner with leadership to ensure sales operations strategies evolve with Actylis’s business growth.
- Lead or support ad hoc strategic projects as assigned by leadership.
The salary range for the position of Sales Operations Manager $110,000 - $145,000 per year. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law.
Required Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Analytics, or a related field. Experience within the Life Sciences or Life Sciences Technology industry preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, or related functions in a B2B environment.
- Proven success managing CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and driving user adoption.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence without direct authority.
- Strong record of using data-driven insights to improve sales performance and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.
- Able to challenge sales managers & sales professionals, using sales data and analytics to drive behavior change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, able to interpret data, translate it into business action and courageously engage with Sales management in execution of sales plans.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable; thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Creative thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Hands-on, collaborative, and unafraid to “roll up your sleeves” to get things done.
- Skilled at balancing long-term strategic goals with day-to-day operational needs.
